ZED3X sensors deliver high reliability and superior performance in high-pressure environments enhancing any condition monitoring systems’ ability to measure and monitor runout, speed, and changes in machine vibration profiles to help reduce risk and minimize damage and unplanned downtime due to unanticipated failures in the field.
Designed for operation in environments from 500 psi to over 22,500 psi, ZED3X precision sensing systems do not require a magnet and work with any ferromagnetic target. ZED3X sensors detect target position through non-magnetic, conductive, and non-conductive barriers making leak-proof, penetrator free equipment instrumentation installations possible, and economical without special magnets.
Precision Products’ line of rugged ZED3X non-contact displacement sensors are IP-67 rated with hermetic options available. For installation versatility, ZED3X sensors come in standard IP-67 rated threaded, flanged, AS4320 pressure port compatible, and bolt head style configurations with hermetic options available. In addition to standard sensor configuration options, ZED3X sensors are easily tailored to meet semi-custom and custom OEM integration requirements.

ZED3X is a non-contact, linear, analog displacement measuring system. The system operates on a traditional inductive bridge circuit. This easy-to-use, versatile system can be utilized for precision static and dynamic measurements of conductive targets.
The sensor coil makes up one or two legs (depending on single or dual coil sensor) of a balanced bridge network. As the target changes position within the sensor field, the bridge network senses impedance changes in the sensor coil. These changes are converted to an analog voltage or current signal directly proportional to target displacement.
